Hey, Fam! You might remember that I did a VTubing stream a while ago, where I took some BuzzFeed quizzes and gave my opinions on different kinds of easter treats. Well, I decided to write an article about it, so you can see what I think of these candies and maybe share your own hot takes.
-Cadbury eggs
These are classic easter candies, but they have shrinkflated over the years. They used to be bigger and had more filling, but now they are smaller and have a thicker chocolate shell. Some people might not like that, but I actually think the shrinkflation is an improvement. The chocolate is way more satisfying, and the filling is less sweet, which is good for me. π«
-Chocolate bunnies
Another classic easter candy, but there are two types: solid and hollow. I like both, but I have a preference for the hollow ones. Why? Because they are fun to eat! You can break them into pieces and enjoy the crunchiness of the chocolate. Or you can bite off the ears and make funny noises. Or you can melt them in your mouth and savor the flavor. π° DaveHax even likes to fill them with M&Ms and gift them to family!
-Peeps
These are fluffy marshmallow chicks that come in different colors and flavors. They are very cute and very sweet. I haven't had them in a long time, but I remember liking them as a kid. They are fun to decorate your basket with, or to play with before eating them. π€
-Reese's eggs
These are peanut butter cups shaped like eggs. They are very popular among people who have a kink for peanut butter and chocolate... and, well, I am not one of those people. I don't like peanut butter cups in general, and I don't think it does anything for the chocolate. They are good basket fillers, though, if you want to give them to someone else. π€
-Hershey's Marshmallow eggs
These are my favorite easter candies ever. They're chocolate eggs filled with soft marshmallow cream. They're so delicious and satisfying. I love the contrast between the cromnchy chocolate and the fluffy marshmallow. They mix in your mouth and feel amazing. π
-Kinder Joy
These are eggs that have two halves: one with a toy and one with a creamy treat. They're a lot of fun to eat. You get to open the egg and see what toy you got, and then you get to eat the treat with a spoon. The treat is usually chocolate with some crunchy bits or nuts. It's like a mini dessert. π They're a tradition to eat every day on easter week. The nature figurines also make good D&D pieces, just sayin.
-Fererro Caramel Eggs
These are eggs that have a caramel center covered with chocolate and hazelnuts. They are AMAZING. Caramel is one of my favorite flavors, and it goes so well with chocolate and nuts. They are chewy and crunchy and sweet and salty at the same time. They remind me of my childhood, when I used to eat caramel candies all the time. π¬
So, these are my hot takes on easter candy. Do you agree or disagree with me? Let me know in the comments below. And if you want to watch me take the quizzes live, check out my stream archive page and enjoy the show!
